Spray tip stress analysis
Stress Analysis of Airless Spray Orifice
Stress Analysis
Designing airless spray orifices from traditional Tungsten Carbide grades is typically well known and straight forward, just about anyone can do it.  However, stepping up the goals to an improved design requires a more careful engineering analysis.  The most critical tool in developing the EnduraSpray Ultra and HD-Ultra line of tips was Finite Element Stress Analysis.  It highlighted the critical stress regions and gave insights as to how to mitigate high stress levels.

Wear Testing
EnduraSpray Technologies has performed extensive accelerated wear testing of its and competitive airless spray orifices.  An abrasive slurry is pumped through the spray orifice at high pressures.  Flow rates are monitored over time to determine the rate of change.  Competitive spray orifices have a higher rate of change.  Therefore, they will not last as long.
